Flashe : Gradation with Didier Vallé

Artist Didier Vallé joins Lefranc Bourgeois for this step-by-step tutorial on how to create a gradient using the iconic Flashe paint.

Using his masking tape technique, the artist shows us how to create precise flat areas of colour.

After a quick application, he proceeds with the gradient to blend the shades. The gradient adds contrast and volume to achieve a hyper-realistic effect.

Iconic Matt

Flashe Vinyl’s unique vinyl base delivers an unmatched matt texture in 76 curated colours. Completely permanent, uniform and stroke free when dry on almost any surface.

Every Support

Achieve artistic freedom with absolute colour on any support. Flashe Vinyl can be applied to almost any non-oily support without priming including glass and plastic, unlike acrylic paint.

For Digital

Thanks to its consistent coverage and unwavering colour, Flashe Vinyl is trusted by designers and artists as an analogue medium suitable for seamless digital transfers.

Unmatched Coverage

Delivering total light absorption, Flashe Vinyl reflects the same colour at every angle and has the ability to cover five times the surface area of acrylic paint.

Modern Medium

Made in France, Flashe Vinyl is a renowned paint for designers and artists. Since its introduction in 1954 Flashe has been used by Niki de Saint-Phalle, Vasarely and JonOne.

Pure Pigments

The range includes 76 solid and iridescent colors, including 12 metallic shades with subtle reflections and 6 ultra-bright fluorescent shades designed to create a strong impact.
